About The Event
Learn, Connect, Explore
At the threshold of personal growth and development space we explore the neurobiology and the felt sense of human experience from trigger to glimmer. Led by Meg, Rebecca, and Diane this retreat provides practices to better understand yourself and the relationships in your life. We’ll explore what challenges our sense of safety and wellbeing, share tools to notice our feelings, and develop our tolerance for the high vibrations of joy along the way.
Using concepts from Alexander Technique and Polyvagal Theory (body), Essential Motivators and personal preferences (sense-making), and the science of Entrainment (connections), you’ll be offered a variety of easy-to-use approaches supported by the latest neuroscience research to help you learn how to:
assess and build awareness of your current state
adapt and adjust
see and categorize the influences impacting your life
understand your core needs and how they might differ from those around you
access purpose, joy, and fulfillment no matter what stage of life you’re in
In this weekend gathering we emphasize connection and community to inspire long-lasting change. Come to restore, renew, and reimagine what’s possible!
About The Facilitator(s):
Meg McCann is a teacher of Alexander Technique, reeducating people from their neuromuscular habits into better use of the self. Her background as an ICU nurse and Finance Executive working with large teams supports her ability to impact others in the work of self-development. Recognizing that interruption of habits is no easy task, she enjoys seeing the success of her clients as they improve themselves into new arenas.
Rebecca Sarver, PhD is an independent consultant offering alternative approaches to escape from practices keeping people where they are instead of where they want to go. She relishes opportunities to leverage her career in the private sector with post-doctoral research and training to uncover options with clients to manage uncertainty and improve decision-making in increasingly complex times. Recent training includes Art of Developmental Coaching, Healing Collective Trauma, and Neuroscience of Change. Her mission is to cultivate self-leadership with individuals who can then positively influence their own networks.
Diane Rumpke is a workshop facilitator for those seeking change in their lives, introducing them to entrainment, an exciting, ever-emerging realm of research. Her background working in various fields of entrainment combined with her kinesiology and chemistry education enables her to share her knowledge in tangible ways participants can leverage for big results. She has recently completed courses in Power of Embodied Transformation, Neuroscience of Change and Body=Brain, and this work has been a constant thrill for her on her journey to "do something more" by being a part of something bigger than herself.
Registration
Pricing is for this 3 day / 2 night retreat and includes lodging, all meals, and optional programming. Price may be paid in full at the time of booking or reserved with a $200 deposit.
Committed to accessibility for guests and stability for the organization and its staff, Hope Springs Institute sets its fees and rates to reflect reciprocal exchange and mutual support. We offer three pricing tiers: The standard rate represents the full cost of this program, while the supporting community rate offers a “pay it forward” model to off-set the supported community rate, which aims to make these gatherings more possible for a broader range of folks with different circumstances and resources. Get stretchy, but stay safe, and please consider the reminder that sliding scale is not a sale, or a pay-what-you-want structure. Making your share of an equitable contribution might mean that you are still making sacrifices, or prioritizing this experience over something else. Consider payment plans as ways to balance the cost (you can register with a deposit with the balance due before the retreat begins).
A note about the Ticket Processing Fee: this 3% charge covers the expense of credit card processing, and allows us to put your full registration payment toward our dedicated staff and our beloved facilities. If you prefer not to pay the processing fee, you can register by check; email director@hopespringsinstitute.org for instructions.
