About The Event

3 Days/2 Nights: $350 Early Bird and $450 Standard Price includes tuition, room, board, and supplies!

In the current moment we face a world of uncertainty wrought with feelings of fear, scarcity, isolation, and the experience of trauma. However, we also operated in this liminal space before the onset of our global pandemic, and these feelings, although heightened, are not new to so many of us.

Even though our experiences of uncertainty are increasingly common, we are biologically challenged during such times, and this offering is an invitation to begin to build a framework of autonomy over those experiences.

The development of presence in the current moment and peace within the liminal space are skills that will continue to serve beyond the pandemic.

In Presence and Peace: Thriving in an Uncertain Time, you will work to feel your sensations, name them, choose what emotion-story you attach to the sensation you experienced, and stay in your body through that experience- we are building embodied awareness in a container of supportive community.

This weekend will include work using:

  • Alexander Technique
  • Free and Directed Movement
  • Somatic Healing
  • Essential Motivators
  • Current Neuroscience Research Principles
  • Circle and Small Group Reflection
  • Journaling

The goal of your weekend is a deeply experiential workshop, so your registration includes a Friday evening through Sunday afternoon experience at Hope Springs, as well as two zoom sessions before your retreat weekend and the invitation to stay connected after your weekend!

All are welcome: there is always choice and any movement is gentle and adaptable to any level of mobility and comfortability.

If you would like to discuss support in the form of scholarship for this experience, please email our Executive Director at victoria@hopespringsinstitute.org

A note on safety: Because the group will have two zoom meetings together before coming on-site, detailed community safety agreements will be set during your first zoom call together.

We do ask that participants are vaccinated or provide a negative covid test completed 24-48 hours before arrival on the land.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS

Rebecca Sarver, PhD is an independent consultant offering alternative approaches to escape from

practices keeping people where they are instead of where they want to go. She relishes opportunities to

leverage her career in the private sector with post-doctoral research and training to uncover options with

clients to manage uncertainty and improve decision-making in increasingly complex times. Her mission is

to cultivate self-leadership with individuals who can then positively influence their own networks.

Meg McCann is a teacher of Alexander Technique, reeducating people from their neuromuscular habits

into better use of the self. Her background as an ICU nurse and Finance Executive working with large

teams supports her ability to impact others in the work of self-development. Recognizing that

interruption of habits is no easy task, she enjoys seeing the success of her clients as they improve

themselves into new arenas.

Diane Rumpke is a workshop facilitator for those seeking change in their  lives, introducing them to entrainment, an exciting, ever-emerging realm of research. Her background working in various fields of entrainment combined with her kinesiology and chemistry education enables her to  share her knowledge in tangible ways participants can leverage for big  results. This work has been a constant thrill for her on her journey to  "do something more" by being a part of something bigger than herself.
