Join us for a day or stay overnight as we gather in ceremony and healing. In this time of transition we can lean in together in ceremony and reignite, restore, and renew our connection to ourselves, to each other, and to the land.

About The Event

In a time of change it is always good to come together in ceremony. Honoring all the traditions and the grounds that hold the sacred work of Hope Springs. Some of what will be offer is:

  • Prayer Ceremony to bring us together to create a sacred contract with all that is.
  • Drum Ceremony
  •  A despacho ceremony is an ancient Peruvian ritual that involves offering prayers and intentions in a ceremonial way. During the ceremony participants create a beautiful mandala-like piece that will eventually “dispatch” the prayers and intentions of the participants to the All That Is through  being either buried, burned, or placed in running water.
  • Sound bath
  • Singing together, a universal language.
  • Take a walk to visit the Legacy Grove that is designed to restore the native diversity extracted from this land.  Now is the time to replace the invasive grasses with trees and bushes that have called this land home for centuries. We'll honor those whose donations have contributed to this project and share some of the Legacy stories of this land and all its peoples.

In these times it is so easy as Cole Arthur Riley says, in her book This Here Flesh, to get stuck in illusion instead of beauty. Ceremony helps us to come back to ourselves, to each other and to center.

"Our caution is to not become those who focus on beauty in order to dismiss tragedy or to disguise feelings of their own inadequacies. When we ourselves feel ugly and insignificant, when the pain of the world feels unbearable it can be very comforting to talk of mountains and sunsets. We train our focus on beauty here or there, this poem, that architecture because it is easier than bearing witness to our own story. You begin to gravitate not toward beauty but towards illusion. In this state you are not approaching what you seek, you are running away from your own face. This is not the way of wonder. Wonder requires a person not to forget themselves but to feel themselves so acutely that their connectedness to every created thing comes into focus. In sacred awe we are a part of the story" ~Cole Arthur Riley
