This three-day healing event provides offers male survivors an environment for overcoming isolation, community-building. skills-building. Alumni of WOR retreats report the experience contributed to easing their suffering; to enabling higher functioning; to facilitating  healthier relationships with friends, partners, children; to inspiring activism; and to diminishing the cycle of victimization. 

The program format includes a mixture of large and small groups; opportunities to acquire tools for mind-body healing; a structured process for story-sharing; time for rest and relaxation; exploration of self-compassion; and time for rest and relaxation.

In 2019, Weekend of Recovery Alumni feedback reported up to a 55% decrease of distressing symptoms after attending an event. Some alumni reported an additional 15% – 40% decrease of symptoms in subsequent years following attendance.  

Registration is open now until October 7th, 2022 and will be limited to a maximum of 22 participants. 

The registration fee is inclusive of lodging, meals (Friday lunch thru Sunday lunch), and all program fees. Survivors who are unable to afford the entire cost have the option to submit payment for an amount that better reflects their budget.
