About The Event
Step forward in courage and curiosity...
Heal and Rise: The White Woman's Journey is designed for white women interested in healing from and dismantling systemic colonial-capitalist patriarchal White Supremacy. Our original and groundbreaking conceptual framework, The White Woman's Journey: Navigating a Lifeway Between White Supremacy and Misogynistic Patriarchy, captures white women's life experience in patriarchy and white supremacy. It provides a cognitive framing for each of us to locate ourselves - including all of our intersectional identities - and process our experience as we navigate a pathway between both systems.
This work is anchored to…
somatic experience grounded in community
applied human behavioral science
meditation and mindfulness
storytelling and humor
nervous system healing, movement, and trauma-informed practice
This learning experience might be a good match for you if you've ever considered any of these questions:
Have you felt the weight of misogynistic patriarchal oppression and would like to explore further in affinity with other white women?
Have you ever tried to be an ally for Women of Color, been rejected, and are curious how to move forward and make that connection more effectively?
Are you interested in healing parts of you that get in the way of being a cultural lightworker?
Together, we draw upon more than 60 years of combined experience in education, teaching, coaching, learning architecture, facilitation, human behavioral psychology, adolescent and adult learning practice, disability inclusion, mindfulness and meditation, DEIAJ, organizational development, HR, leadership, advocacy, indigenous practices, and healing.
We aim to build a learning community with intention for each learner to determine their purpose, goals, and next steps toward healing, navigating, and dismantling. Learners will come away with white women affinity connections formed during this transformative learning experience to enable and support ongoing healing and development toward their highest life purpose.
Testimonials:
“Heal and Rise was a life changing opportunity to understand what it means to live as a white woman; the inequities we uniquely navigate. This has given me a foundation to both heal and show up better for BIPOC women.”
“This has been a unique and powerful opportunity for me as a white woman to own the reality of my role in accepting the status quo and has spurred me to push back and resist the powerful forces of misogyny and white supremacy. It has given me strength and inspiration to work harder and do better.”

As a white, hetero, cis girl-woman, I rebelled against the script for working-class white women that was baked into my family-ancestral culture by aspiring to higher education. I came of age as a feminist during the second wave. Over time, I have come to clarity on how I had subordinated and repressed my commitment to and passion for women's healing and recovery from misogynistic patriarchy in order to serve the purpose of undoing white supremacy. I am grateful to other white women whose suffering and rage brought me back in touch with that core in me and refired my commitment to healing, recovery, and empowerment for all.

I care about my race-gender/spectrum affinity group, white women, as I believe we have an incredibly important role in dismantling systemic patriarchal white supremacy, and I'm in this work for life. Using a heart-mind-body approach, I strive toward healing, for all of us. I'm constantly working to educate myself, strengthen my voice and use it in every realm to speak truth to power. I'm a mother of bicultural young adults, an equity, inclusion and diversity educator, curriculum and instructional designer, a former 8-12 classroom teacher, a scientist, and in the process of finishing my master's in clinical mental health counseling. I love the woods, nature & animals, comedy, shamanic drumming, music, meditation, swimming, reading and laughter.
